Each year yoga studios all over our country enjoy the sacred practice of Karma Yoga ~ Selfless Service ~ by bringing Free Yoga Classes to our communities.  Please join us and learn about bringing peace and health to your life for 2012!

8 A.M. ~ 9:30 A.M.   Om Shanti Yoga.  Join us for a blissful, gentle, peaceful class, awakening your body to its natural bliss.

9:45 A.M. ~ 11:00 A.M.  Golf Body~Yoga Mind.  Relax and have fun while improving your flexibility and breathing to improve your golf game. Don’t forget to bring a club!

11:15 A.M. ~ 1:00 P.M.  Yoga for Awakening the Creative Spirit. Bring your journals to this freeing class and expect that your ideas will flow!

5:00 P.M. ~ 6:30 P.M.  Sunset Yoga.  Spiritual. Quiet. Practice the art of Human BEING not Doing. Bring mindfulness to your body and sweeten your spirit as you deepen your awareness of breath with this soulful class.

Artemesia Yoga Studio is celebrating 10 years of bringing the wonderful practice of Yoga to Salisbury this March.  The quiet and peaceful studio is located at 323 West Harrison Street, conveniently located between the historic West Square and Fulton Heights. Lewellen Padgett is a certified Sivananda Yoga instructor and received her certification from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in March of 2001.  Other certifications and workshops include:  Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga Massage; Laugh-a Yoga Leader; Cora Wen’s Fluid Body, Quiet Mind; Erich Schiffmann’s Moving Into Stillness; John Friend’s Anusara Flowing with Grace; Baxter Bell’s Yoga and the Sacroiliac Joint; Paul Grilley’s Anatomy for Yin Yoga; Donna Mejia’s (Smith College,) Integrity in Ethnic/Global Dance Fusion; and NIA classes.  She has been working with VA employees, hospital employees, and business men and women, among others to help with stress management over these past ten years.

Lewellen worked with the New Tomorrows program for Rowan Helping Ministries for a year and a half, teaching guests at RHM the practice of yoga. She loved teaching the kids at Nazareth Children’s Home yoga as well at Park Avenue United Methodist Church and is now teaching kids with ADD and ADHD and having wonderful success in a private class setting.
